Friday Flashback

Friday, June 19, 2009

I couldn't decide which flashback to go with, so I'm doing two!

Caityn has had these little pink sunglasses since she was a little baby...and she is still wearing them today!

Just thought it was cute that they were both interested in stepping into Daddy's shoes at the same age! Man...Sean has a much bigger head than Caityn!!

She's a honky tonk woman!

Last night we met up with some of our fabulous friends for some music and dancing in the park. The kids were super excited about the free green balloons they received. Caityn gave me a front row viewing of her new moves. Where does she learn this stuff??

Caityn was given a balloon, and when Sean saw he didn't have one, he got sooooo jealous, so I had to track one down for him too. Guess we now have to get two of everything!

More green balloon dancers

Sean wasn't into the dancing last night. It was all about the food for him.

He loves his animals!

Sunday, June 14, 2009

Sean is very much in love with animals. He plays with his farm play set all the time, he loves reading books about animals, and he goes absolutely crazy whenever he meets and gets to pet an actual animal! He also now knows just about all the sounds that different animals make.

Friday Flashback

A few weeks ago we had a garage sale, and I dug out one of the old preemie sized dresses that Caityn wore when she was itty-bitty. I thought she might like to have it for her baby dolls, so here she is wearing it at 2 weeks old.

And here is her Bitty Baby wearing it today! I can't believe my baby was ever that small!!

BEST BUDS!!!

Memorial Day 2009

Every year since we bought our house, we've attended the neighborhood Memorial Day parade. It's a pretty low-key parade, consisting mostly of local school kids, a few dog clubs, and several politicians. And every year, I've seen the little preschool kids march in the parade waving the flags, all dressed up in red, white, and blue. This year was the first time MY preschooler got to march in the parade too!

The theme of the parade this year was Water Conservation, hence the large rain-drop hat. The original hat that she made in preschool fell in the toilet, so this was a replica. No one noticed.
